Polyester is durable, wrinkle-resistant, and moisture-wicking, making it popular in activewear and blended fabrics. It holds its shape well but can trap body heat and odor over time. Machine wash and tumble dry — polyester is generally low-maintenance.

Nylon is strong, lightweight, and abrasion-resistant. It's often used in hosiery, activewear, and outerwear linings. Like polyester, it's easy to care for but can retain odors with heavy use.

Modal is a type of rayon made specifically from beech tree pulp. It's softer and more stable than standard viscose, holds color well, and resists pilling. Modal is typically machine washable on a gentle cycle, making it more practical than its rayon cousins.

Lyocell (often sold as Tencel™) is another cellulose-based fiber, generally produced with a closed-loop process that recycles water and solvents. It's soft, breathable, and relatively strong when wet. Most lyocell garments can be machine washed cold on a gentle cycle.
